Job Description for Health Insurance Agent
HealthPlusLife seeks a few highly motivated, energetic, and experienced Health Insurance Agents to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate is someone looking for an office-based position who takes pride in providing affordable health care to their clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service
- Receive inbound calls and determine client eligibility and plan
- Generate new business opportunities through networking
- Maintain accurate records and files of new and existing clients
- Follow up with clients to provide feedback and answer questions
- Maintain an active knowledge of all healthcare products
- Maintain an active knowledge of the latest developments in the insurance industry
- Prepare quotes for new clients by collecting pertinent information from clients, referring agents, or other sources
- Prepare renewal applications for clients
Training
- Carrier and customer service training provided.
Requirements
- FFM certification required
- AHIP Certification required
- Active Health Insurance required
Candidates must be motivated, detail-oriented, and have strong customer service skills. Phone etiquette and excellent organizational skills using the web, telephone, and email are essential.
